***Meet Arek***
He came to us 12th of September. His weight was 71kg (first photo) and goal was to loss body fat from mid section. After quick analyzation of the body shape, proportions and injuries we have recommended firstly to increase muscle size and then to reduce execs body fat.
After setting up individual diet plan (according to daily requirements) we have started build-up process. Arek already had experience in weight training, but as goes with many gym members his training technique needed correction and proper explanation.
To stay alive you need to eat. To grow you need to eat more than that. Sudden increasing food intake is not so easy as it seams-your stomach is shrunken down or simply not used to process and utilise bigger food amount at once and you end up with feeling full or bloated, so you should introduce it bit by bit. Arek had problems with digestion bigger amounts of carbohydrates and eating early (morning sessions at 7am) so we tried to change things around for better adjustment.Training was hard and demanding but quickly brought improvement. After two months we notice visible swelling(even though diet was fairly clean) and Arek was complaining about low energy level so we recommended blood tests (as we always do for any new customer to analyze everything inside and out). Results shown increased prolactin level (hormone responsible for lactation, produced in pituitary gland) and Arek was recommended to do brain scan as doctor suspected brain tumor (high prolactin wasn't caused by SAA). After hearing such information I think everyone would have seen the whole life in front of their own eyes.. What's more Arek's wife was 5 months pregnant with second baby at that time. Despite nervous situation (coming Christmas and long waiting for results of the scan) Arek didn't stopped training. In conclusion raised prolactin was caused by long- time high stress level. When everything settled down we have finished building-up phase with 84kg (second photo) and started cutting down from April (14 weeks). Final weight was 68,5kg (last 4 photos)with balanced diet, weight training 5x and cardio 5x a week. We are very proud of what he has achieved and never stopped, specially when things got really hard! In Addition new baby was born during his cutting down so he was also fully involved to help at home.
It's not the end though, as Arek is continuing to train and reducing disproportions, making the body healthier and stronger.
To sum up, changing your body doesn't take (example)12 weeks like many people might promise to you. You are not able to predict what happens on your way but the key is to have goal and keep moving in that direction, no matter how slow you're going or how many steps back you will need to take to finally reach it. Sometimes the outcome isn't what you have expected so you need to sit down, rewind the process and apply corrections. But always be proud of what you achieved so far! Fitness can change your mind and make you stronger, not only physically. Hope his example will also help more people to understand how important is taking care of your own mental health :) ...
